Mufareh Al-Shehri

Mufarreh Al-Shehri, an Independent Chairman of the Board of Directors, boasts over 17 years of experience in investing across various local and global markets. His journey began as a financial analyst and gradually transitioned into managing portfolios and funds on behalf of companies. Mufarreh has been instrumental in leading investment entities by shaping investment policies, facilitating decision-making processes, and implementing strategies that have yielded remarkable performance.

Mufarreh is a Board Member of several financial funds associated with Al Arabi Financial Company. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

Fahad Al-Sharekh

Vice Chairman

Mr. Al-Sharekh has over 21 years’ experience in global business development, with expertise and specialization in the IT and VC field. Initiated and executed targeted strategies to facilitate joint ventures, partnerships, startups, account generation and public listings of holdings in several capital financial markets including NASDAQ, KSE and DIFC. As CEO of Sakhr Software, he received 3 US patents from US PTO office for Sakhr’s proprietary technologies. Played key role in founding 1st Saudi Arabia ISP AWalNet which was acquired by STC in 2006. Developed the first Multilingual Speech to Speech app 'S2S', Language Buddy launched on the App Store in 2009 and was one of the first adopters of "The Cloud". Initiated and supervised the transformation of the 30 year old family IT business company and publicly listing the company on KSE in 2006 under the new name Al Alamiah Technology Group ATG. Founded TechInvest in 2015 to provide an opportunity for Middle East investors to obtain exposure to private investment opportunities in the technology sector. Techinvest advised and structured several deals in early, growth and late stage VC totaling over $600m in money raised Mr. Al-Sharekh is on the Advisory Board of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in the UAE, he is also a consultant at the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, KDIPA. Previously a Board Member and subsequently Chairman, of Al Mal Investment Company, which is listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange, and served on several boards including ATG, Saftec, AwalNet. Mr. Al-Sharekh serves as a director on the Board of CODED.

Faisal Mansour Sarkhou

Board Member

Faisal was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Kamco Invest in 2014 and has led the company to become one of the key players in the regional financial services sector. He enjoys a wealth of experience in investment services namely investment banking and asset management.

 

He joined the Company in 2000 and has held several managerial positions including head of Corporate Finance and head of Financial Services & Investments, responsible for advising and executing mergers and acquisitions, underwritings, private placements, debt issuances, restructuring transactions, and private equity. Earlier in his career he was a member of the Corporate Finance Team at KPMG in Kuwait.

 

He sits on the board of several reputable companies, member of advisory boards and executive committees and a prominent speaker in various investment forums.

 

Faisal holds a BSc Economics degree with honors from the University of Birmingham, UK and an EMBA with distinction from HEC Paris, France.

Essam Saleh Al-Thukair

Independent Member

Mr. Thukair has 14 years of experience in the financial and investment sector, where he began his career in the Saudi Electricity Company in Human Resources, and then joined the Capital Market Authority responsible for daily trading in the Saudi market. He the joined the Saudi Industrial Development Fund - as credit consultant to manage a portfolio of 70 companies. Later he joined Al-Rajhi Capital, as Regional Director for the institutional asset management and investment. In 2015 he joined the Raz Holding Company where he served as chief financial officer of the group.

 

Mr. Al-Thukair holds a bachelor degree in Management Information Systems and an executive MBA.

Sana A. Al-Hadlaq

Board Member

Sana Al-Hadlaq joined KAMCO in 2002 and was promoted to lead KAMCO’s Wealth Management Team in the position of Chief Wealth Officer in 2016. Sana Holds a BSc. from Kuwait University in Political Science and General Administration. She also has various certifications and qualifications within wealth management and leadership roles. Prior to joining KIPCO Group in 2002, she worked with KUNA as the Head of Planning and Development Office for a period of 10 years. MS Al-Hadlaq has served over 17 years in KAMCO and she is a board member for a number of listed and unlisted companies in Kuwait and sits on a number of management committees. Her responsibilities revolve around wealth management, client advisory, fund raising, and offering potential investment opportunities. In turn, expanding KAMCO’s client base and establishing strong relationships with prospective investors including individuals, family businesses and institutions.

Jarrah Waleed Al Naser

Board Member

Jarrah enjoys over 14 years of experience in Investment Banking and other financial services and products. He started his journey with Kamco Invest - Kuwait in 2011 and has held several managerial positions, with the most recent as Senior Vice President and Head of Core Markets and Strategic Projects in April 2021.

 

He is currently the Chairman of the Kuwait Medical Centre Holding Company, a holding company that owns one of the largest private hospitals in the country, Kuwait Hospital, amongst other medical subsidiaries. He also sits on the board of several reputable companies throughout the GCC.

 

Jarrah holds a BSc in Accounting from Kuwait University, College of Business and Administration and is a CFA Charter holder since September 2011.
